Reminders:

The Market House Street Fair will take place on Saturday, Aug. 16. Any help will be appreciated. It will start with table set-up and moving equipment at 8:30 am. Throughout the day, scouts will help with small projects. Breakdown will start once the fair ends at 2:00 pm.  Time spent at the street fair will count towards community service hours for advancement.

There will be a regular meeting on Monday, Aug. 18.

The Shiloh hiking trip will take place Aug. 22-24.

Welcome Brian S., Justin S., and Atticus to Troop 1!

Thanks to those who participated in the camp-out with the Eagle Scouts from Troop 165 cycling across the country. Special thanks goes to Mr. Moshure for coordinating the meals.

Congratulations to Mr. Moshure for winning the RCM Cast Iron Chef competition during summer camp with Winner Winner Chicken Dinner Dumplings and to David H. for his winning dessert, Chocolate Delight with homemade whip cream. Congratulations also to Wyatt M. and Mr. Moshure for placing 1st and Patrick M. and Mr. Collins for placing 2nd in the canoe race.

At the June 30th Court of Honor, two scouts received 1st Class rank while two scouts received Life. Seven scouts received merit badges and several individuals earned special awards. Congratulations to all!

One scout bridged over from Pack 2018 on April 27 and one scout bridged over from Pack 470 earlier in the year. Welcome to Troop 1, Dakota and Max!

Troop 1 had a great turnout at the LBL Litter Pickup on April 26. Thanks to the scouts and parents who were able to participate. Thanks also to those who were able to help prepare food for this event.

There is now a Facebook page for Troop 1 (Boy Scout Troop 1 – Paducah, KY).  It is a closed group and will have upcoming events and any schedule changes.

Troop 1 is chartered in Paducah, KY under the Four Rivers District of the Lincoln Heritage Council. Sponsored by Grace Episcopal Church, it has been continuously chartered since 1911 and is in its 102nd year. It is the 7th oldest troop in the U.S. We always welcome new members to the troop.
